The MOES ZigBee 24GHz mmWave Human Presence Sensor is a smart sensor designed for advanced automations in Home Assistant, Tuya Smart, and ZigBee ecosystems. It uses 24GHz millimeter-wave radar technology combined with PIR detection to identify not only movement, but also static human presence and micro-movements such as breathing or small gestures. Unlike conventional PIR sensors, this model can keep lights, climate control, or automations active even when someone is sitting still in a room. That makes it an excellent choice for offices, bathrooms, bedrooms, or hallways where traditional detection often falls short. It includes sensitivity adjustment, configurable detection range, a light sensor, and remote control through the Tuya/Smart Life app. Its ZigBee integration delivers better stability, lower power consumption, and advanced compatibility with Zigbee2MQTT and Home Assistant.
✓ Pros
- Real static presence detection
- Much more accurate than traditional PIR sensors
- Excellent for lighting automations
- Compatible with Zigbee2MQTT and Home Assistant
- Integrated light sensor
- Advanced sensitivity and distance settings
- Stable ZigBee connectivity
✗ Cons
- Can produce false positives if poorly configured
- No Matter support
- More complex setup than basic PIR sensors
- Higher price than conventional motion sensors
- Requires a Zigbee hub
