The LinknLink eMotion Pro is a presence sensor based on 24 GHz mmWave technology, designed to detect people even when they are completely still. Unlike traditional PIR sensors, it can identify ongoing occupancy by analyzing tiny body movements. In addition to presence detection, it includes a built-in light sensor and a powerful multidirectional infrared emitter capable of controlling TVs, air conditioners, and other IR devices from Home Assistant or through local automations. One of its main advantages is that, after the initial setup, it can work entirely locally via MQTT, exposing presence, distance, brightness, and IR control entities directly to Home Assistant without needing the cloud for automations. The eMotion Pro is especially aimed at advanced home automation users looking for more reliable automations than those offered by conventional PIR sensors.
